Technical position for degreed Mechanical / Manufacturing / Product Design applicants. Hawk Ridge Systems is hiring an Applications Engineer for its Bothell, Washington office.
Applicants must possess a desire for something different than the average design job where life will not be spent in cubicles and endless meetings. Applicants must also possess the desire to be a dynamic part of the largest and most innovative team of SolidWorks Applications Engineers in the U.S. and pursue a diverse career in the fast paced and competitive C.A.D. industry.
HRS Application Engineers become experts with SolidWorks products and demonstrating, instructing, implementing, and supporting a wide range of customers from many industries in the use of 3D C.A.D., Analysis, Product Data Management, Rapid Prototyping, and related design tools. They have strong technical, presentation, customer service, communication, and sales skills. They attain the following SolidWorks Certifications:
Certified SolidWorks Support Technician (CSST), Certified Solidworks Instructor (CSI) Certified PDM Support Technician (CPDMST), Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP), and Certified Cosmos Support Technician (CCST)

Minimum Experience: 2 to 5 years Mechanical Design or Manufacturing industry experience.
Education: BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree preferred.
Requirements:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) as well as excellent customer relations skills.
• In-depth experience with Windows and 3D MCAD solid modeling software.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft O/S (Win2k, WinNT, WinXP Pro), MS/Office products and related hardware devices (MCSE a plus).
• Experience with FEA and/or PDM a plus.
• Mechanical Design experience with emphasis in product design.
