Location: Mountain View

This position will play an integral part in improving the customer experience by developing, creating and deploying customer-facing content designed to help resolve technical and training-related issues. This role requires insight and familiarity with commonly used processes, tools and best practices relative to the creation, distribution and management of written, video and other media types.

• Technical Writing and Document Control:
  • Create technical documentation for a largely technical audience.
  • Create User Guides and User Manuals and related material.
  • Create FAQs, Pre-defined replies, Knowledgebase Articles.
  • Create Scripts & Storyboards for Instructional Video projects.
  • Proof and validate existing documentation.
  • Develop processes to identify, locate and eliminate existing documentation, resources and material that is no longer relevant, inaccurate, or outdated.

• Required Skills:
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Camtasia Video (or alternative)
  • Adobe Acrobat , or PDF creation
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint

• The ideal candidate is one who:
  • Four or more years of technical writing experience.
  • Has experience in creating video and/or screen-casting as a training tool.
  • Has experience in creating, editing and organizing customer-focused content.
  • Can create an effective system for organizing, deploying and proofing documentation. Has experience in creating Tutorials and How-To content, both in Video storyboards and in written, web-based formats.
  • Has experience in working cross-functionally, and with shifting priorities.
  • Has experience in creating templates and frameworks for delivering written material in a consistent, readable, appealing format.
  • Has a passion for language, grammar, usage, style and design.
  • Has the ability the listen, collaborate, and take direction.
  • Can demonstrate a successful track record in bringing creative projects to completion.
  • Has an interest in 3-D modeling, CAD, product design or mechanical engineering, as well as the tools and resources used in those disciplines.
  • Can demonstrate Experience and Knowledge of validation principles including system development lifecycle methodology.
  • Has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, or Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, technical writing or related field preferred
