The Learning Company and Dassault Systèmes Form Strategic Licensing Agreement
PARIS, Feb. 5, 2007 – Dassault Systèmes (NASDAQ: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) today announced that Cosmic Blobs, its 3D modeling and animation software product, will be available for distribution to major retailers and direct to consumers thanks to a significant new licensing relationship with one of the leading educational software publishing companies in the United States.
The Learning Company, a software division of Riverdeep, LLC, has agreed to license and brand Cosmic Blobs – Lab Rat Standard Edition for distribution worldwide within its retail and direct-to-consumer sales channels.
Cosmic Blobs, the most powerful 3D graphics software available for kids, will join such world-class brands in Riverdeep’s stable of educational software and graphics products as Reader Rabbit®, Carmen Sandiego™, The Clue Finders®, The Oregon Trail®, and Kid Pix®.
