Installation Notes: Hawk Ridge Systems has actively participated in Beta, Pre-Release and initial release programs and has no reports of major issues with these service packs. As such, Hawk Ridge Systems recommends that customers who are ready to move to 2010 begin testing and implementation with these service packs to take advantage of the many great features of the 2010 products. However as with every major release, Hawk Ridge Systems recommends caution when implementing new software for production use and highly recommends that customers backup and test their data prior to implementing the new version for all users in their environment. As service packs become available, customers are encouraged to implement them at their discretion. Hawk Ridge Systems will notify customers by e-mail if any major issues are reported or any service packs are not recommended starting 2-3 weeks after a service pack is released or earlier if sufficient testing is complete. These issues and any other issues of importance will be documented on Hawk Ridge Systems’ eSupport and/or on the Hawk Ridge Systems home page. To assist users upgrading to the 2010 version, Hawk Ridge Systems has created new eSupport content on upgrade preparation, upgrade procedures/recommendations, licensing, registration and new features in SolidWorks, PDM, Simulation and 3DVIA 2010.
