The design of modern products frequently involves multiple engineering disciplines, and traditionally mechanical and electrical design workflows are not integrated. This can lead to inefficiencies, delays, and miscommunication, which can affect the quality and timeliness of released products.

However, this is changing, with the evolution of new and improved design tools that allow mechanical and electrical systems to be developed in a common design environment, using applications ideally suited for electrical and mechanical design tasks. Join our seminar to learn how SOLIDWORKS has bridged the gap between PCB designers, electrical engineering & mechanical designers. Bring your questions and curiosity, as SOLIDWORKS technical experts will show you firsthand what’s possible with SOLIDWORKS Electrical and SOLIDWORKS PCB.

Our seminar consists of two presentations:

  • SOLIDWORKS PCB – Join Christopher Swaim, Senior Technical Sales Manager at DS SOLIDWORKS, for an overview of our new PCB design tool, SOLIDWORKS PCB. This tool, powered by Altium technology provides a full-featured PCB design package, as well as game-changing collaboration capabilities for exchanging PCB designs between the mechanical and electrical world. For existing Altium users, the SOLIDWORKS PCB Connector can provide the same collaboration to SOLIDWORKS as a separate module.
  • SOLIDWORKS Electrical – JP Emanuele, Territory Technical Manager at DS SOLIDWORKS, will be sharing information how SOLIDWORKS Electrical can help with electrical systems design, control panel layout, harnessing and many other electro-mechanical applications. SOLIDWORKS Electrical is a powerful electrical schematic design tool, that uses built-in intelligence to greatly speed the layout and design of electrical systems. With efficient re-use of design data, automated checking for design issues and problems, and detailed reporting and BOM management, SOLIDWORKS Electrical is the best-in-class solution for electrical design.

Feel free to join us for one or both of these sessions, and for a complimentary lunch and networking opportunity in between.
